Black Vision Security – Goods Return and Exchange Policy

  • All transactions and/or sales entered into with Black Vision Security (hereinafter “Black Vision Security”), shall be subject to and governed by our standard terms and conditions of sale, a copy of which is available on request.
  • All returns and/or refunds shall be governed by our standard terms and conditions of sale. All Black Vision Security warranties and repairs are limited to carry-in.
  • No exchange, credit, or refund will be processed without the original invoice being presented to Black Vision Security.
  • The customer must return the product within 10 days of receipt and notify Black Vision Security in writing via support@blackvisionsecurity.co.za within the above-mentioned period.
  • Goods returned after 30 days will not be accepted for credit, exchange, or refund.
  • Goods returned for credit or refund must be in the original condition and packaging and returned within 10 days of delivery (applicable for incorrect goods purchased or supplied). Items repackaged in original packaging may be subject to a reasonable handling fee of up to 10%, or at the discretion of Black Vision Security based on the case. Returns will not be accepted if goods are partially or entirely disassembled, physically altered, permanently installed, affixed, joined, combined, or embedded within other goods or property.
  • The customer is responsible for all costs associated with returns by courier/freight, including insurance. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that goods reach Black Vision Security within 10 days of written notice. We will not accept responsibility for goods lost in transit.
  • No goods will be accepted for return, exchange, or refund after six months from the date of purchase.
  • All electronic goods will be tested before any exchange, credit, or refund is processed.
  • Black Vision Security will not be held liable for any loss or costs incurred due to failure of a product once installed or for any damages suffered by the customer or a third party due to product malfunction where the product was altered or used contrary to manufacturer instructions.
  • Damage caused by abuse, misuse, unauthorized modifications, tampering, acts of God, incorrect installation, insect infestation, liquid damage, lightning, or power surges will not be covered.
  • Faulty goods returned within six months of purchase will be eligible for refund, replacement, or repair at the customer’s election, subject to points 3–9.
  • Black Vision Security reserves the right to refuse any warranty claim if the damage was caused by factors beyond the product specifications.
  • A repair or exchange within the warranty period carries an additional three-month warranty, but does not extend the original warranty.
  • If external repairs are required, Black Vision Security will offer a carry-in warranty equivalent to that of the supplier.
  • Repairs by Black Vision Security’s repair department carry a three-month warranty on that specific repair only.
  • Repaired items will only be released once all outstanding payments are settled.
  • Black Vision Security reserves the right to charge up to 10% handling fee for items returned that are free of fault or where additional reports are requested.
  • Items not collected within 120 days of repair may be sold to recover costs.
  • In the event of stock shortages, Black Vision Security will procure similar goods subject to customer consent. We will not be liable for shortages beyond our control.

Goods Damaged on Delivery or in Transit
If a product is damaged or missing parts upon delivery, notify us within 10 days by:

Feedback will be provided within 7 days of receiving goods. Products may be repaired or replaced after technical evaluation.

Defective Goods
If a product does not function as per specifications, report it within 10 days using the same process.

Unwanted or Incorrect Goods
Returns accepted within 10 days if:

  • Goods are in original packaging
  • No visible wear and tear
  • In resalable condition

Returns via our arranged courier will carry a handling fee at the customer’s expense.
